Kesakh enters and sits down next to Veshikk, and leans over to him, saying softly, "I'm terribly sorry to bother you when you might need it, but I need the Gnejfejrim back for a few days."

Veshikk looks at Kesakh in bewilderment before realizing what he means. He procures the warm stone and hands it go him.

"Thank you."  As the stone enters Kesakh's hand, it gets significantly brighter.  He tucks it away in his coat.  "I'm afraid I will not be able to visit you tomorrow, for the Summer Solstice draws near."  He likes away at the fire with a stick, seeming to pay attention to the fire as if it is speaking to him.

Also in other news, Faraji and Loec respawn.

Öln periodically feeds the dagu dambe root slices as he begins building a fence in the back of the cave.

Being hungry, Blatsa heads out with his new bow, holding the arrows in his drawing hand as he other no place to carry them.  He heads north to seek prey, keeping his eye out for tracks and signs of large wildlife.

The dagu eats these and gives up trying to struggle, since it is now quite tired.

Since it is night, Blatsa has a hard time knowing where he is, but eventually finds a family of Bolgil digging in the forest for mondobos and stonags at a fallen, rotted tree.

While finishing up the fence, Öln props up the slices of dagu meat over the fire. Once they finish roasting, he consumes one and leaves the other propped straight up, next to the food pile.

Öln places the dagu in the fenced portion of the cave with a small pile of dambe chunks.

Night is when they least expect it!

Blatsa having some knowledge of the Bolgil anatomy from having processed two of them, draws his bow.  He aims for the approximate area of the bolgil's heart, putting a good deal of pressure on the bow before releasing, firing the arrow at the Bolgil.

The dagu stands up, obviously sore for having been tied up and caries.  It eats these pieces and then stuffs out pellets, then goes to sleep.

Blatsa drops the female.  The female seems to slump over, but it isn't dead.  It looks like the arrow didn't sink deep enough.  The piglets go into a panic.

The ¾-ton male, however, squeals wildly and charges at Blatsa at higher speed than he has seen before.

Blatsa draws another arrow while stepping to the side to avoid the charging bolgil.  Anticipating that it's skull is too hard to penetrate, he instead attempts to fire it into its side as it passes.

The bolgil tries to correct its direction when Blatsa attempts to sidestep, and although he is inches away from getting his right leg impaled by the tusk, the Bolgil throws its head to the side, causing him to lose his balance and fall on the ground.  The Bolgil continues through and turns around, charging him yet again.

Blatsa angrily stumbled to his feet, resolving now to fire the arrow into the Bolgil's snout as it charged at him.  He draws quickly and takes aim, leading his target by a fraction of an inch and releasing.

The arrow misses the snout, but flies directly into the bolgil's eye.  The arrow penetrates deep, and the animal instantly becomes lifeless.  Seven of the piglets are nudging at the mother to try to get her moving again.

«Blatsa has leveled up!  Fighting lv. 8.»

Blatsa turns to address the mother, setting his bow and arrows down and drawing his knife.  He ushers the piglets away so that they may continue living.  If successful, he would then quickly and painlessly end the bolgil's life.

The piglets draw closer to the mother.  The mother tries to turn its head and bite at Blatsa's ankle, but Blatsa jumps back.
