Forget all that hoopla. What do you guys think about the Logitech G430 and G35?

I've had the G430 for bout a month now and it really hasn't broken or been close to breaking. I would definitely recommend it

That's not exactly something worth commending.
If your headset breaks within a month then either you're really mistreating it or it's really crap.

A headset, or even just headphones should last at least a year of normal use without breaking.

g430 is great get it
i have these and they are pretty good.

what i don't like is when i was in game it had really a horrible audio problem where the volumes kept changing, but i fixed that by downloading older drivers

I've had a G430 for a few months now and I think it's a good headset, but I do wish it had function keys on the side because I constantly used them on my old headset. Microphone quality is pretty good, especially the noise cancellation. Headset is reasonably comfortable, however it's actually a little bit too small for my head.

Don't mind me, but what are the function keys for on the side of headsets anyways? Are they sort of like extra buttons on a mouse?

Yeah pretty much. I don't know what model my old one was, but it had a couple of bindable buttons, a mute button and a thing to adjust volume on the side of the headset.

The G430 has a little junction on the cord that has a switch to mute the microphone and a volume adjuster, but because the cable is so long you'll often find yourself fumbling around trying to find it. I just think the buttons on the side of the headset are a better design personally.

So, comparing both the G430 and G35, which would you guys recommend?

just get the G230
all the 430 has more to offer is a fancy usb adapter with logitech software, nothing that a basic soundcard cant provide
