In my defence, slopes on this scale are difficult to make look right. The reason they work well on Bones titanic for example, is because the bricks are coloured black and red. These much darker colours don't exagerate the shadows as much as a grey does. I would easily have another shot at it, but even as it is, it took freaking ages. Plus, it depends what angle you look at it at, and from what distance.
Enough defending, I don't need to prove myself! :) This is a large build, one flaw doesn't have to bring down the whole thing. I'm having fun building it, and that's what matters. I'll just strive to prove you wrong!
Thanks for the other kind words. As for the destroyer suggestion, it's on my 'maybe list'. It's kinda half why I put cannons on the ship as it is. Aircraft Carriers don't usually have cannons. Anti-air? Sure, but cannons are left to the battleships. I just thought I'd go wild and stick everything on it! AFter all, it's not a replica, although I got a few ideas from various sources.... just call it a middlish sized destroyer aircraft carrying ship thingamy.
