Anyone who keeps bombing on the server, forget you. Seriously. Nal shouldn't be a target for stuff and he should calm down. people don't know what they don't know, nal. no need to get jimmies jimmed

You know how hard it is to do actually put together something and not have it fall apart? They tried. It isn't like they ignored the issues.

Sure, they did have a few unnecessary stuff, and some stuffty loops, and some really bad events, but the build was amazing and they actually tried to put together a little something this year. Now, I am not saying this was perfect. But maybe the team should take this as a learning opportunity (hint: build a different kind of map).

You should stop whining about a "boring" and "unsurprising" experience. Get the hell off your computer and celebrate with your foster parents, orphanfamily.

ok. drama done now. enjoy the new year. :)
silencing criticisms is only gonna stagnate progress and innovation for these types of servers

but i agree with the map choice, seems like its been a convention center/atrium for years now. would enjoy a new theme like a snow lodge of sorts.

lets just say there was a ton of drama during the construction of new years lol

Honestly i was really loving impressed by having actual voices for some of the events
I mean seriously some of you actually sat down, recorded their voices, then put it into the game
Just how do you do that even it was amazing 5/7 perfect score

I voiced madman and the interlude, CSP voiced CIA, background of madman was our call.
Hell, we'll put up a new years boss demonstration server in the future, they handle quite well without the persistent lag.

drama was worst in 2014-15. 2015-16 we all got along well.

We have not silenced any criticism. We built off of the two years into this server and the VPS didn't hold up because of a massive player count, boo hoo.
Now I understand why people would get mad over the crash restart but we handled it completely fine in the last ten or so minutes

I've always had an idea for making some sort of ultra-compact irish pub and using it as a new years server. It'd be packed as all hell, but hopefully fun.

CIA boss voice was csp, madman boss voices was a combo of trogtor/nal, and interlude voice was nal.

hey you guys did fine,

you guys put so much work into this, don't let a few misguided chumps ruin your night

some features i've thought of for next year would be:
a livestream that would accompany the server, talk about whats going on and give a review of the year like top 10 lists and stuff. also could engage the players with giveaways and stuff.
players vote for the next song using a GUI mod
dance floor and lights coordinated to the songs using events
quests like finding hidden items and stuff that would give cosmetic rewards
blocklanders who have done a lot during the year would be recognized
i enjoyed the voices, to expand on that you could have an announcer who would say what was going to happen instead of a loud ass alarm sound and centerprint spam.

Ok I volunteer to be the Ryan Seacrest of the livestream next year.

Lord Tony was trying to stream but stupidly failed because he spammed his Stream

It would be cool if some of the staff would record instead.
Sadly, with live, there is a slight delay, which I was beginning to get confused watching Lord Tony's and my game at the same time.

we did polls, questions and other stuff, but I don't think top 10 lists would be too great. We DID work with a livestream of sorts in 2013 with music. Guess what? nobody joined them and just complained, you don't understand how limited the game can be and how unwilling the community is at times.

lights are limited, so I doubt we would get far into that.
quests like finding hidden items and stuff that would give cosmetic rewards
Most we did with that was chests, but we have hidden things around the map. We had the yiff party which was a room, etc.
blocklanders who have done a lot during the year would be recognized
we tried that with VIP and it turned into a constant beg fest. We did do that this year by taking add-ons from creators who deserve more recognition. the spicy italian was made by kobewarrior, glowstick launcher also was, karbini, manifest destiny, all american, chimper and chicago pizza were all made by gumba johnny.

the stuff we did barely worked with blocklands limitations.
oh btw, you're unbanned

It would be cool if some of the staff would record instead.
i actually did and im planning on making a recap video sometime tomorrow/soon

dance floor and lights coordinated to the songs using events
The madman attack event did this, too bad it flopped terribly.

It would be cool if some of the staff would record instead.
I have some behind the scenes bloopers from construction of new years stay tuned im still working on it ; )

i was thinking more of an official stream instead of some guy walking around with everyone

but i didn't watch tony's stream so idk what he did

When does the server end?
