Author Topic: Port Forwarding [Mac]  (Read 1258 times)

I've the THE TUTORIAL, but whenever I put in my IP address and internet password then I get this:

i dont know how a mac works with this kind of stuff but why not try doing it through the actual router instead of doing it through mac software
i guess your mac is having trouble communicating with the router

Any idea how I would do that?

try using 192.168.0.1 in an HTML bar in a browser

no-edit: meant to say URL bar not HTML

I found the right IP address.

Anyone know what was in the last image of the tutorial? He says "add what I have here".

I think I did it right.

:)

it varies per ISP
It varies per router.
His local IP seems to be 192.168.1.x, which means it's 192.168.1.1. This is also something you can set yourself.

It was actually 192.168.1.254.

My server's ping is ---, but people can still join it. Does this mean anything? Any way to fix it?

Is it --- for everyone or just yourself? Cause if it's just yourself, that's probably normal.

I think using command prompt can help find your gateway too, by using "ipconfig" in the command prompt

(I don't know much about macs but they have some type of console and a command related)

ifconfig -a
according to a quick google search
