Author Topic: How much external data storage do you have off your computer/devices?  (Read 1744 times)

Pick the number wish fits best. If you have that exact amount, pick the lower ended one.

These days a lot of us have flashdrives, memory cards, external drives. I'm wondering how much storage in the good old tangible form do you have?

Things that do not count:
-Cloud storage
-Internal (but disconnected and unused) drives.
-Proprietary storage for things like game consoles or really cheap cameras.
-Non rewritable disks or drives.
-Internal storage on phones, tablets, etc.

Things that do count:
-RW CD's, DVD's & Blu-Ray
-Flash Drives
-Memory Cards (SD, Compact Flash)
-External Hard Drives
-Internal drives in external casements.
-Floppy disks
-Things generally recognized as universal and/or easy to use for storage.

We all go to school probably, or need to bring around the important research folder whereever we go. So BLF, how much portable storage do you have?

I have about 128GB worth of SD cards, and a single 8GB stick for school.

Between 1TB and 2TB. When I get home, I'll list all of my devices and calculate the storage.

-Floppy disks
I remember when I was first introduced to floppy disks at school

by the time I was old enough to understand them they were obsolete

Macbook Pro:

Filesystem      Size   Used  Avail Capacity  iused     ifree %iused  Mounted on
/dev/disk1     465Gi   60Gi  404Gi    13% 15827612 106009986   13%   /
devfs          181Ki  181Ki    0Bi   100%      626         0  100%   /dev
map -hosts       0Bi    0Bi    0Bi   100%        0         0  100%   /net

On my Windows desktop I have a Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB HDD and an OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB SSD.

I have a million flash drives and 2/4 GB SD cards kicking around, but the one flash drive I have with actual decent read/write speeds is 16 GB.

I'd like to get a new and bigger SSD so I can put huge forget off games that take forever to load on it.

1TB HDD (PC)
128GB Flash Drive (PC)
64GB SD (Wii U)
32GB SD (3DS)
I also have a spare 64GB flash drive which I was going to use on my Wii U, but it didn't work out too well.
Also I plan on getting a 750GB HDD for my PS2 soon.

literally the only storage device i have

1TB HDD
500Gb External hard drive
16Gb USB stick
Some 4.7Gb DVD's.

literally the only storage device i have
thats a lot of memes

but it isn't named "memes"

I believe this counts because it is all network attached storage and is easily accessible by both my laptops, and my other desktops that are around.

but it isn't named "memes"
my main rig on windows and linux is named "meme-machine"
