I'm new in Block Town

I'm pretty late to the party, and by late I mean five or six years late. I just ditched RTB 1.045 for Retail.

Hopefully there'll be plenty of stuff to script here, yeah? Any general Blockland tips for someone who's not new to Blockland games or Torque in general?

If you're still talking about modding can't think of any right now, but there is a subforum that's for modding help, you could look there for some things. The Meta-Sticky in it has some useful stuff.

Oh, I was just looking at that.

After I do a request, I might just go start looking around and bugging people for stuff to script. Whatever version of Torque that Retail Blockland is running on is really stable, and this makes me very happy. No more crashing on syntax errors. :D

one thing you should learn is how to update/reexec mods without restarting. i'm not sure if the process is different in RTB, but its really convenient to not have to restart blockland to update scripts and see how they work.

this even goes to addons like weapons and vehicles and whatnot so yeah, convenient.

its been mentioned that badspot and kompressor have edited the engine a number of times during blockland's development, so its not truly TGE anymore.

Already done! I have a *exec(); in every single file that basically does exec("./*.cs");
