My school MIGHT get shot or bombed or something

So the school just called our house and said that "There are rumors that something violent is going to happen". I hope this just means a fight or something but there are some hostile kids in my school and I wouldn't doubt that someone would bring a gun or something. My parents are still making me attend school so we'll see how it plays out.

I'm not really allowed to skip school, first if I tried I wouldn't have anywhere to go because school is 20 miles away from my house, and my dad drives me to my bus stop

Honestly, your parents are buffoons. Show some care for yourself by refusing to go. If it does get attacked, say "I knew this would happen." If it doesn't, at least you didn't play Russian roulette with Madam Fate.
Edit: Call up friends to see if you can chill with them for the day if they're skipping, too, if your parents are über butthurt
