Usernames with unicode will forget up the "Add Nametag" button. Tried with Mr.Noßody.

it would have to send a request to each user's profile everytime you saw them posting it wouldn't be practical from a client sided perspective

An idea i had was a small tag icon next to users names like Reddit has []. You click it and it opens the tag window without leaving the page.

Also you could click on a users existing tag and change it from there.
