If it was "okay" then why do they still receive a lot of hate when people find out about it without them saying anything?
it's all about opinions and background. compare a trans person who gets a lot of hate (only for being transgendered) to someone like
casey anthony. sure, a trans person may receive a lot of hate, but that doesn't mean being trans is inherently
bad. it just means that those people think it's bad, whether it's for religious reasons or just bigotry.
casey anthony, on the other hand, is a murderer. she is almost universally hated for committing a crime. there's no excuse to defend her; you can't blame your religion or your different idea of humanism because murder is a crime. murder is
bad. murderers are
bad. transgenders are
okay, but some people don't like them. that's just one of the wonderful things about people: we're all different, not just in appearance,
made up genders, and what have you, but also in ideas.
