Author Topic: Lost Key  (Read 825 times)

Due to problems with my last computer I am running a newer one and lost my key, I tried that key recovery program and that didn't help and I've contacted badspot several times before and never gotten a reply on the subject, and i can't use the lost key recovery as the email used to purchase blockland no longer exists.

Unless Badspot responds to you, the recovery program or email are the only options. Does the old computer still work at all? If it does the key recovery program should work, tell us what you did.

The old computer does not work at all so i tried taking the blockland files off the hard-drive and running the program off this PC and it got the first few digits and couldn't get the rest.

That makes sense. In order to retreive the key the MAC address of the computer which created it is required to be known, and the program cannot know that information if it is run on another computer.

Maybe explain how the compuer 'does not work at all'? If it's anything less than hardware failure of the cpu/motherboard, you could probably still boot it.

If the email that was used no longer exists (assuming it was deleted in some way) just recreate the email using the same name, then have it send to that email

Most sites never recycle account names because this presents an obvious security risk. I wouldn't count on it.

I was only thinking this since my play station account had the same issue, besides the fact that it was just a password, not a key.
