Author Topic: Why do some people hate high school so much?  (Read 4001 times)

Trivial work and stupid social hierarchy

In Highschool i only knew hatred

Now i'm out and i'm vry nice

The obnoxious classmates, the upperclassmen ego lords who break your stuff and deny it later (speaking from experience), and the underclassmen either being too social or not social enough.

I have no problems with high school but primary school/middle school was the loving worst

Stupid educators think they know everything, and if you try to correct them - they won't admit they were wrong. They constantly try to see if you're doing something wrong and they'll correct it each time.  You're forced to learn about subjects which will be of no use for you in the future (such as being forced to take an art class, forced to take PE, or forced to take Algebra which is useless for many whose occupations will not require any math credentials whatsoever).

that's definitely something their parents caused. it would be unfair to say that they "created their own problems" when it's something like that

No it's not? Ever thought that kid might actually CARE about his or her grades?

i freakin loved high school my senior and junior years, i almost wish we had a fifth year in high school lol

Getting good marks while you have to deal with annoying class mates

you need good marks if you want in a good school

when you get dinged for something and its not your fault that you didn't know something its a little annoying

Social life is sweet though, no problems there

I don't know where you're getting this from. Are you going to Riddler's school?

My educators get glad when a student corrects them. It shows that the student is learning and is aware of the professor's choice of words.y teachers say every first day of class that we're all here to learn. Students and teachers alike.

it seems like people either love high school or hate it; there's few in-between

Yes. Unfortunately we have very incompetent teachers at my school. Last year our US History teacher said something which was completely incorrect, and after class I very politely (in a respectful manner) told him that the information was not true and he asked me to give him a print out from a valid source which would say otherwise. The next day, I give him it and he doesn't apologize or anything - cant even say he was wrong!!!

Algebra is a rather helpful math skill and is useful for many things besides occupations. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be taught in high schools.

(eg. my high school world history teacher claimed that christians and muslims worship the same god, when she had absolutely no clue of the fundamental differences between them).
THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE WORSHIP, NOT THE GOD. "God", "Jehova" and "Allah" are one and the same according to the various beliefs.

the work is okay but it's dull

removes a lot of your zeal for learning

9th grade just seemed drastically harder than 8th and before.
