My high school experience was very frustrating. Oftentimes you have little to no control over what classes you get put in, and they absolutely suck. A lot of the people are just your average run-of-the-mill handicaps that love super cliche things and love to do super cliche things. The rednecks like to hunt, fish, go mudding in their huge trucks, and chew dip/tobacco/tar and spit out the residue on the ground, which then sticks to the bottom of your shoes. The iPhone girls love to gossip, drama and text all the time on their phones, chew gum, have a snarky attitude, and start catfights. And then you have the druggies who think it's cool to smoke weed and drink alcohol underage, and fight with teachers just because they took their stupid skateboard. Oh and the coursework is the absolute worst; 90% of it is busy work and test-preparation work (they teach for the test, not teach to learn), all of which is done for arbitrary skills that often don't translate into commonly useable skills in the real world.
All in all, my high school sucked because they didn't teach much that was actually useful for me; the teachers got paid to prepare students to get A's on tests and that was it; they often didn't even know what they were talking about when they were teaching (eg. my high school world history teacher claimed that christians and muslims worship the same god, when she had absolutely no clue of the fundamental differences between them).
Oh and dont even get me started on all the bullcrap of the administration and disciplinary systems in high school.
