does frodo destroy the ring?

Dragonball Z rule: All main characters in the sequel begin as powerful as the previous characters are at the end of the last one.

Also, may I say how fantastic the movie looked visually. I guess the 3D IMAX kind of boosted the experience for me, but the visuals in general were really well done.

Visually the movie was great. There were no issues with the cinematography (aside from J.J. using that stupid zoom-in like the millennium falcon was on the news or some stuff).

Also I want to add that personally, the ending sort of felt like the ending to a TV show (again, maybe intentionally) but instead of the resolution coming next week now I have to wait like three years.

My opinion is that the JJ didn't forgeted it up too much but plot felt rush like at the end with Han. The action is not socking good overall with some minor generic feel is some parts. But Kylo Ren was powerful to stop a bullet but not get the saber okay then....

Only 16 months! May 2017 woop woop

I thought that was how some of the earlier films had done it aswell though

This actually makes sense, as Poe did not have the force and Rey did.

Episode 5 ended on a cliffhanger, yes, but only after we resolved the plot of that episode.

See, in the original trilogy it always felt like they didn't know they would be making another movie. Especially in episode 4 when they literally didn't know.

So they still all felt like contained stories. These movies are intended to be in three parts, which means its the three act structure in play, beginning, middle and end. We only saw the beginning part, and I didn't feel like it ended all that strongly. So now I have to wait until 2017 to see the ending. Then probably 2019 to finally get to the end.

It's almost like waiting to finish the Hobbit. Except even those movies came out with less time apart (a year is still too long to finish a story though).

But Rey's force was stronger?

She just started using the force that morning.

Do you think Harrison Ford is contractually obligated to come back as a force ghost?

Probably not, it would mess up the lore and I think they know it.

Not unless he was secretly also a Jedi.
