I'm the opposite of this, what the poster posts affects how I view their avatar. I sort of put their personality to their avatar.

Not really unless there's a bad history on the person, or they say something that contradicts what their avatar perceives them as.

if the avatar is aggressively terrible, then I assume they're young and/or annoying
avatar fads are bad no matter what unless im in them
avatars with some kind of transparency are pretty nice unless you butcher it and then it's even worse than jpegged trash
