v20 server question

Is it OK to host a pass-worded internet server with no custom MS with v20?
This is the only way I can play internet with friends

if port-forwarding is your problem you won't be able to host on any master server...

no, i can't connect to the custom MS at all

I don't think this is true but I do believe you get banned from the master server.

We've explained that it's your ISP doing this because I can connect to the custom ms just fine. If you can't connect there's nothing you can do other than blame your ISP. Don't host your server without a custom ms because you will get banned from getting your server posted to the main ms.

if you host your custom server with a password it should be fine, just keep in mind it is frowned upon

As long as no one uninformed can join and the password isnt obvious or in server name etc, there shouldn't be any problems.
