Author Topic: Post your literal signature.  (Read 1952 times)

there's literally a kid in my class named paul and he spews that out all the time and it's annoying.
everyone does that to me and it kinda gets old.

writing your name in cursive is not a signature
i usually do my full name for my signature

that's not what i've been told like my entire life.
ok maybe i should phrase that better
a signature is, by definition: "a person's name written in a distinctive way as a form of identification in authorizing a check or document or concluding a letter." (source) cursive does not fit this definition because it is what most people use to write regularly. DJ's signature as well as Trogtor's are examples of signatures

i usually do my full name for my signature
i don't think i said anything about writing your full name not being a signature

printing your name is pretty distinctive too, but it doesn't feel right when i'm at the doctors and they ask for my signature and i were to put my name in print

cursive looks like stupid stuff to me

do they actually do this in the US? where i live there's a little space to put your name, be it your signature (which it often is) or just printing/writing it

there's spaces that say "signature" and some that say "PRINT ONLY". so i guess that implies you need to write your signature in cursive.

Did you read what you typed before you clicked the post button?

I must have been awfully mistaken.  Apologies.

Your signature is whatever you put down as your signature. Hell, you could draw a cat and they'd accept it as long as it's your signature you have down originally

I don't know why you people are seriously doing this.

Any normal person could see how someone committing credit card fraud could use your signature picture against you.

"yeah, okay i'll sign" *pulls out phone and copies signature*
