how do i get my friend to play other games

so my friend only plays League of Legends and Skyrim and ABSOLUTELY refuses to play any other games, reason why is that he wants to play games to learn and "git gud". he states and i quote "i want to get better and learn, i played games for fun and i regretted it and its a waste of my time. why play games for fun when i can just learn and have fun, i have goals."

i mean he can play whatever game he wants, but he's really loving missing out on good games and stuff. i just dont loving believe how ignorant he is about other games because he simply won't budge at all. he's at a point where he's just being an ignorant starfish judging every game there is
