Author Topic: am I in a dream right now  (Read 3018 times)

I fell asleep like 30 minutes ago and just woke up in bed and my lamp is on which it shouldn't be, it's extremely foggy outside and I can't see anything out my window and there's a truck in my driveway and it really seems like I'm in like a nightmare or something right now
I just found my phone on my window because I want to see if this topic will transfer to the real world and it will prove if im actually in a dream
Also i can't feel my hands right now and i really do feel like im in like a state of sleep

You're awake, just weird stuff is going on wherever you live.

Count your fingers, if you have 10 and they look normal you're awake. if that doesn't convince you, plug your nose and try to breathe through it. if you can still breathe you're dreaming.

I forgot about those tricks, thanks for reminding me.

that distorted human figure you're seeing in your doorway?
that's real
I see it every night
I haven't slept in 36 hours

There's a rumor that when the body experiences mass trauma, the mind puts itself into a dreamlike state where everything is normal from which it cannot wake up, in an attempt to hide from the pain.

While the person is in this dream state, they come to accept it as a reality they cannot wake up from.

Occasionally, something from the outer world manifests itself in the dream to try to make the person wake up.

No matter how much you ignore it, it will persistently tell you to wake up. Wake up. Wake up.
