9:30PM is when I get my groove on.

Can confirm issue was not resolved, exactly as I expected.

forgetin' Telstra want to pawn their issues off as my issues. handicapped starfishs.

This time I'm requesting a service call to my house, no buts or ifs, as I should have done in the first place. They can't hide behind unplanned outages this time, and I have every single log and other evidence so we can forgetin' put this stuff to rest.

Christ almighty.

last time i had to call my isp over internet issues they said it was the computers lan problem, so call the company that made it

i told them i made the computer

they said call the motherboard manufacturer

i call the motherboard manufacturer and they tell me its the isps problem

i told them the internet works fine on linux but not on windows and he immediately cut me off and said "we dont support linux"

truly great experience

still stuck on wifi to this day

Name and shame. I'd like to collect a list of worldwide stuffty ISPs so I can throw darts at their employee's heads.

bright house trough time warner

id say they did all they could, im also fairly certain its my motherboard as no other computer has this issue

I had some issues with my ISP and speeds/disconnecting

I basically told them I wasn't paying for the month because it was dropping out a crazy amount, something like 20 times a day (consistently too). They took ages to respond, argued the point etc so after I complained to them I ended up going to the telecommunications industry ombudsman.

Probably only a day after I lodged a complaint with the TIO, my ISP refunded me for the month and my problems all magically went away. Funny that.

Thanks for this; luckily I don't think it'll be needed. Everything, aside from wait times, went smoothly.

First tech promised to transfer me over to a specialist and in the meantime added me as a Full Authority contact, which means I now have access to all the Home Phone, Foxtel, Cable Broadband and Mobile Phone/Data plans/support on the same level as the billpayer.

Second tech booked a Level 2 Technician to come out and replace the taps/isolator as I originally asked; she actually was going to order this before I even said the words and then we had a nice laugh when we realised we were on the same line of thinking. She agreed that 5+ years without equipment replacement in a very rainy Sydney is perfect conditions for corrosion and so it's the likely culprit.

Standby for further updates after Tuesday when the tech arrives.

I dont renember the name of my old ISP,but it sucked ass. The internet speeds would frequently slowdown and they said we exceeded the data cap even if i have paid for an unlimited data cap.

TLDR They wanted to cut budgets and steal money.

MY TITS ARE JIGGLIN' WITH FURY NOW.

So, this morning at 7AM allegedly a Telstra service team repaired an unplanned outage. The only logged service event was repairs done to the home phone network; there's no proof of any outage. Then between 9AM and 4PM I had two dropouts.

I get a text message that the techs are coming around tomorrow and it's ready to go. THEN SOME DUMB forgetIN' BITCH calls me an hour ago to tell me that my tech was cancelled because of this clearly unrelated forgetin' outage. I then have to jump through the hoops for her to forgetin' schedule another tech team for Wednesday.

Then the smarmy forgeters called me again; from what they said I can only assume that they cancelled that team as well, but I won't know until I check my texts tomorrow. The lady was sort of nice; she increased my download speed to 35Mb/s from 8Mb/s (she reported that this was an unrelated service issue that was never addressed) but otherwise just jerked me around and had me replace wires all over the place even though I kept telling her the EXACT issue that the other tech lady said was a clear cause of concern.

You're right, Darryl. Maybe I do need to involve the ombudsman, because this is absolutely forgetin' ridiculous now.

Having anyone from Telstra come at a reasonable time and actually fix anything is a miracle

It's odd though. 6 months ago those forgeters sent a tech around next-day to replace some off-property equipment. At least, I assume he did; he came to my house, I told him to replace "the taps", and he walked off with a box of stuff and came back to his ute without the box and drove off.

I don't understand why things have changed since then, especially now when I have a much clearer idea of the problem and I've giving them much more relevant error logs and problem values.

I don't understand the ombudsman very well. Are they pretty much just internet police?
