Author Topic: Does anyone have any experience buying and selling items on Craigslist?  (Read 1131 times)

Well I asked "why do you say that" because I'm not sure. If I knew the answer, I wouldn't of asked. Also bare in mind that I wouldn't be keeping these items if I were to purchase them, I'd quick sell them. I know that wouldn't make a difference though, but yeah.
because it's shady. and selling them would actually make it worse in the jury's eyes, and maybe even legally. it's even shadier then

There are thousands of Craigslist item flippers, who buy all sorts of objects from CL and resell them as fast as possible. I don't think buying and reselling items on CL is a crime, shady maybe. A reason to make a jury not believe you, if this hypothetical were to happen? I think not.

if you're buying a computer or something and the seller has little to no pictures of the item and doesn't seem to know much about technology in general then it's probably been stolen, especially if it's an apple product.

If someone asks what payment method you are using, DON'T say your richard.

I've sold on craigslist before.

Just meet in a populated place and bring a buddy

There are four pictures of the item, also here is the description: "PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU CONTACT ME.

I will & will not do the follow:

Cash only! No transfers!!

I will NOT ship the laptops anywhere!

I will meet with you at the Apple Store if needed OR Send you the make and model number.

No negotiating! The price is $1,100 for one or Two for $2,000 out the door. You'll be saving alot! and if you buy both, you'll save around $800.

Retail value $1,299plus tax. Brand-new never been opened Macbook Pros 128GB newest version with one year apple care. I am willing to meet you at the Apple Store that way you see this is a great deal or give you the Make #.

Please do not waste my time by contacting me if you do not meet any of the above requirements."

He also listed all of the specs too.

I won't.

Thank you, and if I do this (still probably won't), then I'll take this advice!

seems like a really good deal, looking at prices of the newest macbook pro online. i'd go for it.

the thing about craigslist is that a lot of people selling stuff tend to not really know how much what they're selling is worth, especially when it comes to technology.

Exactly my thinking!
