Author Topic: Graphic Card Failure?  (Read 1616 times)

Hey Guys,

So, I'm currently running on an intel graphic card with my laptop (not sure of exact specifications) but recently the shadows/shaders had begun working on my laptop when I used to only be able to run minimum. I still currently only run minimum but use others to take photographs. However, lately my Blockland has been freezing, then messages are appearing about how the Graphic Card failed, but was then recovered. While everything is recovered, my Blockland is officially frozen and I have to force-quit, which means I'm losing progress on any projects.

Any information as to how this issue can be resolved would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys!

intel integrated graphics dont work with the shaders iirc

Okay, that doesn't really answer the question, You don't want it to be happening if you have an intel graphic card.

Okay, if they don't work, please explain the following photograph I took on my server, yesterday

Yeah after an upgrade in the drivers of the intel cards, some can run shaders. Try updating your drivers for the the card by googling it.

Happened to me when my laptop was working :P
Now it's disassembled due to the case being molten  :panda:

guess it's always a problem when it's molten

Sadly I've been getting the same issue as you recently, this is a driver bug. I have a Intel i7 cpu but it also runs part of my gpu, my gpu is NVIDIA but Intel handles it. It will randomly stop working and then it recovers, then I have to Alt + F4 Blockland when it freezes and start Blockland again; because of this issue, I save my GUIs everytime I edit something and create a backup.

I'll post here if I find a solution. I really hate this bug.

Another main problem I found is that this issue only happens with Blockland. Any game I play I never have this issue.

No way to resolve this issue i think. Happens to me; i just restart BL if that's the case

If you're hosting, you can host a dedicated server and join on a client if you don't want to have to lose progress. Otherwise, you can open up a new blockland and join your own server, and save bricks or whatever. The graphics may have failed on that instance of BL, but the game is still running.

might be the cpu heating up too much... 79C+?
try downgrading your gpus driver to a previously stable one that shouldve worked out well for you
if your laptop is not fanless ( goddamn loving ultrabooks ) clean the fan blades with compressed air or tissue by wiping the fan blades if it is dusty, includes the air vents

if all of the previous statements do not work, it might be your OS
good lord my intel extreme graphics 1 32mb didnt even fail me a single time counting heatups and driver issues
