So recently I joined the PSAL day of distance event and ran the 1600/1 mile run, it was my first race because I missed the previous one. The first two laps (the track is 200m long, so eight laps) were okay, but laps three through eight were an enormous drag. I managed to pull through though, and nabbed 2nd place in the heat by like 0.06 seconds, and got 10th overall.
Afterwards I was super exhausted and celebrated with Subway's
TM. I'd say I did pretty okay for my first race.
