You call them counties. The USA is a federal country. Each state is, well, a state. Those states give the country its power and can break free if they want without too much hassle. The states have subdivisions and those subdivisions has its cities with the exception of autonomous cities which are their own county.
Argentina is a federal country but our provinces aren't states meaning the country is a state. Same with Uruguay and probably Canada.

Then you guys are weak as forget. Salta broke free without being a state back in the year 1970 with the dictatorships. Had their own laws and made a constitution. They did voluntairily rejoin the country after the dictatorship and here we are today.



You do know theres more american users than canadian users,right? This should be province or state.
