Even with the winter sale going on there hasn't been that big of a jump in new users it seems. We were still above 190k before the sale started. The sale last year I believe had Blockland featured as a flash sale on the front page which resulted in a surge of game sales.

Badspot auctioned off ID 10000, but there hasn't been another auction like that for any other number I believe.
