Author Topic: "BlobChunkEvent::process - No blob found!" Error  (Read 850 times)

I'm working on a relatively simple item/weapon, and during the datablock phase of loading a server, this error shows up, and the load freezes:

ERROR: BlobChunkEvent::unpack - bitstream read failed
BlobChunkEvent::process - No blob found!

I have never encountered this error before, and have virtually no idea what it means.
I've checked over my code numerous times and have found nothing wrong with it, and my model is also fine as far as I can tell.


If anyone can shed some light on what this error means, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Try deleting cache.db on the server side, it's probably messed up

Not sure that it will do anything since the error does not appear when my item is not enabled, but at least it's something.


EDIT: Yep, didn't fix the issue. :(
Also, last night I tried setting all the custom models to empty.dts, and the error still occurred, so that proves my models aren't the cause.
I probably just made a dumb mistake in the code somewhere that I've been missing.

okay update:

Started commenting out blocks of code to try and narrow down the cause, and turns out I did something in the emitter/explosion datablocks??

Still haven't found the exact issue, but at least most of the item works now lol.

Just a little update: This issue has reappeared on the same weapon which I was previously working on.

What is really strange about this is the weapon was working fine for something like a week, and then it just broke, andI haven't even made any changes to the add-on AT ALL since I got it working (well, I don't remember making any changes.. I'll have to double check).
