i don't think most people consciously think "i want attention however possible"
There are better ways to get attention.
I mean, if you visit a forum with a vicious drama section, a bunch of ban hungry off topic lurking creatures, and an addons section and a modeling section where you can get praise for your work en masse, a general discussion board where you can advertise your server and help people,
What's the point of pretending to be suicidal and relying off of pity and false misfortune?
As stated above, the blockland forums is vicious to people they dont like and generally disliked people gain a cloud of people who hover over them who will just make them want to leave or if they're weak skinned actually kill themselves.
Thankfully most of the more modern users can't actually come up with good ways to insult people and usually pick autism as a general insult or gang up on people with one argument and refuse to put it down, sometimes even picking on younger or wierder users for the hell of it, and are only accepting of users who can integrate fast enough. Trying to get pitiful attention in a forum like this is like trying to get the human body to adapt to a superbug, nearly impossible.
There are some users who have pulled of pitiful attention before, mainly the ones that have pretended to be girls.
