Before the drawing, loving SIGN THE TICKET. Doesn't matter if its nearly impossible that you will win.

Before you cash, you have to set up a collecting trust, a bridge trust, and a final depositing trust and have the trust's (your) lawyer collect it under attorney-client privileges. That is the only way to circumvent that law... of course, unless that way is illegal.

You never immediately cash your lottery ticket. Get to the biggest city near you (pref. in your state) and find the best omni-firm you can find and demand to see a financial adviser. See what they can do for you. If your state does not allow the trust idea and demands the grantee of the trust's name, you're forgeted. Else, you're fine.

I don't know why states don't protect the anonymity of the ticket holder, because it has been shown that people are assassinated and harassed by family in an attempt to collect some money.

Way I see it, like Tony said a while back, it's less about publicity for the person and more publicity for the lottery company in question.

Makes the most sense to me.

From a business standpoint, it's pretty much win-win, as even more people are going to buy your lottery tickets for a desperate chance at money.

Wouldn't expect (personally) big companies like that to really care about the lives of the winners, to be frank.

My dad bought a ticket, but that's it. Personally, I'd never play the lottery. However, I'd love to start my own lottery and the catch would be that we'd give 50% to St. Jude's Hospital, so it's technically not completely a for-profit.

if you think that im going to donate the winnings to some charity you got me forgeted up lol

It's stupid to donate it all or donate a majority of it. Let the wealth keep going and hope that it can go on for generations if you have children.

The lottery commission won't sell as much tickets if the winners were anonymous because potential customers would start thinking the lottery is rigged.

They don't give a stuff about your safety even if it means painting a big ass loving bullseye on your back.

Yes, it's awful to donate to companies that need funding money to try and study/support something.

That's the US government, they don't care who's dead as long as they have money

You people have a higher chance at making a kickstarter to make a sandwich for a million dollars than winning a lottery for a million dollars. lol

i heard that theres a bigger chance of you dying in a car accident on your way to the lottery and there is of you winning the lottery

i feel like there's a bigger chance that picking up a penny will cause the entire us economy to collapse then there is of you winning the lottery.

no, there's a bigger chance of lightning striking a falling meteor comet made out of celestial uranium during a hailstorm in australia as it's being carried by a tornado over the ocean

than there is winning the lottery

there's a bigger chance of finding $1.3 billion in pennies in an underground vault underneath an interstate in Utah guarded by alien monkeys and white slugs living symbiotically with plutonium-consuming algae that smells like an earthworm

than there is winning the lottery

They should divide that money up for the people

Seems like the fair thing to do....the lottery is such bs

OP has a better chance of getting laid than winning the Power Ball
Oh wait, reverse that

Seems like the fair thing to do....the lottery is such bs

It's $4 each, not 4million
