Morph into a TREASURE CHEST and let THAT GUY approach you.
When THAT GUY approaches you, quickly shank him in the side of the throat with the dagger. Strip his corpse of anything he has. Also, save game.

You morph into a CHEST and DENNIS approaches you. As DENNIS attempts to open you, you then unmorph and quickly stab him with your dagger. You gained a COAT, a TRINKET, and the exit NOT DENNIS was removed. Your game is now saved as SLOT 1.
