So I bought a 150 dollar total wireless phone it is 35 dollars a month for service but I can choose 25 if I want with no internet. My old plan was a straight talk phone for 45 dollars so it is 10-20 dollars cheaper. Now I don't talk or use internet a lot but I do text a lot. About 500 or more texts a month.


Does anyone know any cheaper plans I would be interested in? Preferable verizon or at least ATnT plans.

I can't find any smartphone tracfone plans but I heard it's like what 0.3 texts for every text for texting but I hear that is only for non smart phones. I hear if I have a smartphone variant it's 1/1. So if I bought a $100 1,200 minute card then that's only 1,200 texts for the whole year which will get easily used up in about 2 months lol. So if that's true then it's basically 50 dollars a month just in texting I am paying for.

Well I don't talk to people a lot so I figured if I got the 1 year tracfone plan then I don't need to add minutes for the year if I don't want to just to keep my number.

I don't like the idea of buying a plan for a month just to keep my number.

So I hear tracfone has a 1,000 text card for only 10 dollars. Combine that with the 1 year plan for 100 dollars with 1,200 minutes/texts then I should be all set for a long while.

Eh, I wouldn't trust some sketchy small cellular company. You might save a lot, but you also have to realize that the coverage will not be as good as ATT.

Total wireless is a subsidiary of tracfone and it uses verizon towers.


Tracfone, tracfone has some pretty damn cheap cards. 1,000 texts for 10 dollars.

1,200 minutes with 365 service days for 100 dollars.


Right now with total wireless I'm paying 35 for 30 service days with unlimited everything.

However I don't do that much to need unlimited.

The phone I bought is the ZTE quartz it's a big ass phone.

I just found out there is a tracfone version of it for 90 dollars, even cheaper.
