Author Topic: Should I Jailbreak my iPad Mini 3?  (Read 960 times)

I've been really researching about jailbreaking.

Here's a summary of what I learned:
-Jailbreaking is not illegal, you can modify your device of how you want
-I should back up in case something bad happens.
(I also looked at tutorials too on how to do it so that is it and I think I got it)

I have a second apple device, which is iPod 6th Gen, I don't plan on jailbreaking it.
Only my iPad
So, what do you think, should I jailbreak my iPad?

if your should jailbreak or root any device, ask yourself these questions first:
1. is it an apple device
2. if yes, just break it

1. is it an apple device
2. if yes, do it
3. if no, is it an android device
4. if yes, do it

what does jailbreaking do exactly

Don't really see why anymore. I did it to my really old devices way back before Apple introduced basically most of the functions people looked for when jail breaking back then. Jailbreaking just tends to prematurely slow your device down to really intolerable levels.

3. if no, is it an android device
4. if yes, do it
I actually successfully unlocked and rooted my android tablet

Basically frees your device to be able to design it.

With jailbreaking on iDevices, it comes with Cydia where you can find apps not approved by the App store, and tweaks for your device

I don't see why not, it's really easy.

If there is anything important you want to keep just separately back it up. You can always revert the jailbreak by restoring it on itunes.

In a nutshell is basically gives you more access to what you want to with the device than you would normally have.

Yeah, so I got a couple of questions.

Will all my apps and stuff in the apps still be in it after jailbreak?

And

What is the current version of iOS can Jailbreak handle? And how can I downgrade to it?

I'd like to jailbreak today. So bumping to get attention.
Also is the poll working for you guys? It hasn't changed to me yet, I keep refreshing but no change :(

check your version there. it has to be 9.0.2 or lower to be jailbroken. if you have 9.1 or higher, you're out of luck. there are is no jailbreak for those versions, and it's impossible to downgrade to 9.0.2.

Funny thing is, I'm on iOS 9.2.1 lol, which is way off, and it's a beta Apple thing

Am I looking at the right thing? I don't want to install the wrong one and break my only iPad
-Maybe unsafe link-
