I haven't vomited due to a transmissible illness since I was 8 or 9 years old because I'm careful.
Its called food poisoning, not a flu.
Very very few flu strains at all actually cause vommiting.
People always assume flus when food poisoning is far more common and likely.
It's more than likely a gastrointestinal illness. "Stomach flu" is just a term that someone made up that apparently stuck. They are only transmissible from picking it up off of the gastrointestinal fluids (vomit/stomach acid, poop, saliva, etc) of contagious people and surfaces that said people's fluids have touched, and must enter a body orifice.
So in other words, we now know that OP sticks his fingers in his mouth and doesn't wash his hands before he eats.
