I've had eczema since I was born and it's been a burden for a while, at times it gets really bad and flares up causing patchy skin on my arms, torso, and neck. During bad flare ups it causes an itching that gets unbearable and super uncomfortable. Back in elementary the staff would freak out and send me home constantly because they thought it was contagious even after we told them it's just eczema.
Does anyone else deal with skin problems that get in the way?

i got skin cancer from this

i cant go outside or be in a hot area, or even laugh too hard or cry without my skin breaking out in a terrible burning rash instantly unless im on my pills, and even then it still does it a little bit

it feels like im in a loving oven, and it swells up, and it itches so bad everywhere

What condition causes this for you? Sounds like a pain in the ass.

I've got really dry patches of skin

first doctor said it was atopic dermatitis which is a load of stuff

second more qualified doctor said its a heat induced urticaria which is more on the spot

the pills he gave me actually work this time, just not as well as i would like

next time i see him i will ask if i can start doing 2 a day

and yes it is a pain in the ass

at one point it completely stopped my entire social life outside of a computer, for at least a year

i get random rashes because i live with animals i'm allergic to

I can't wear watches, jewelry, or have long contact time with various metals or I will get a really gnarly rash.

is it quality jewelry grade metal?

Atopic Dematitis is what mine is, just on a lower scale (still annoying)

You should definitely talk about taking more than one to help, I know how it is having a skin condition that makes social stuff annoying. Long sun exposure can make mine flare up so I try to stay in shaded areas. Good thing you did find a qualified doctor to figure out the problem, doctors stepping out of their boundaries to make diagnoses cause more
problems than not.

Why won't your parents do something about it?

Any idea as to why?

My brothers both have/had bad eczema. Luckily I avoided it.

I do have keratosis pilaris, or "chicken skin", on my arms. It's not uncomfortable in anyway, and I forget I have it really, since it's on the outside of my arms, and I don't see it much unless I've got my arms stretched out in front of me with my palms down.

My only annoying skin condition is that I've recently started to develop dry skin on my face, mainly just below the corners of my mouth, a little bit on my cheeks, and sometimes at the top of my forehead. It can get itchy at times.
But it goes away pretty quickly with some moisturiser.

Unfortunately I forget to moisturise regularly, so my dry skin pops up again, then I moisturise and it goes away, and as a result I fall out of the habit of moisturising so it returns.

i have eczema on my scalp and there's nothing i can do about it for the most part.

Moisturizer is one hell of a thing to have, you should consider some sort of reminder to make sure you apply it.

Nickel and gold are common skin allergens for people with this condition.
Have you sought out any possible way to tone that down? Being unable to touch certain metals could be problematic at times.

Try anti dandruff shampoo, it could help. I used some before and it helped me.

ive had bad ezcema on my hands for a while and it was mainly due to the soaps that i use, now i end up using bar soap which i really hate unless im taking a shower.
