Author Topic: so im thinking about buying a bass guitar  (Read 1467 times)

get a plastic trombone for $100 and learn how to play that

the thing that pisses me off the most is that no matter how much people explain to me, i cant figure out how to mute certain strings. like for example on guitar if i only wanted to play the 1st, 3rd, and 6th, how would i mute the other strings?

put ur finger over them so it doesnt vibrate

trombone sucks a fat rooster like most bass clef instruments.

he literally just told you

i tried doing it like he said, and its almost impossible to strum now. i have never seen a guitarist hold out a few fingers for muting.

you forgetin what

take that back before i cave in your skull with an upright bass BOI. you don't diss the bass.

if bass clef were better than treble clef, how come treble mostly always gets the melody?

i just reread your original post

if you're using ur pick tuck it away and use your fingers to individually strum the 1st, 3rd, and the 6th strings

ill post a pic later

bass guitars are loving lovey brother

they smell bad and nobody cares about it

you're better off playing acoustic guitar because it is god-tier

i dont use a pick unless it's needed for intonation

think about it- the bass is what's supporting ur melody. without the bass, the treble sounds lonely af, you need the lower frequencies to really make a song sound good

also bass solos, when they happen, are the forgetin best

do it
like drummers, bassists are always in demand since everyone else wants to be a guitar god

do you even music theory

If you buy a guitar, buy a really expensive one.

The logic is that if you invest a lot of money into something, you'll want to be dedicated because otherwise it's a massive waste. I bought a cheap electric guitar and gave up early, and I almost never played with the several acoustic guitars I've had.
