Author Topic: Should I buy the Microsoft Lumia 435  (Read 704 times)

This is one of the cheapest Windows Phones I could find on their store, I'm avoiding IPhone because of my budget and compatibility problems I've seen from my friend's use and online research. From doing a lot of research I like this phone a lot, more because its 40$ on the Microsoft Store, but also because it has everything I need. Development should be easy for making applications since it uses C#, and the battery life was said to be okay for the most part according to most of the reviews I looked at.
Should I buy it?
My aunt is going to pay for the phone plan.

To me, only bad thing bout Lumia is the store

if it's got what you're looking for, go for it lol

this, i got a 640 and thats the only thing bad about it

The plan is 40$ a month for 2.5 years with this phone, it is a T-Mobile plan.
I think I'll get it. By next year I'll be able to pay it off on my own.

Get a flip phone, bro.

why
It's cheaper and they tend to have cheaper plans. Then you can get a tablet or iPod or whatever equivalent device that does the things a smart phone does minus the phone part and not have to pay a crazy service fee. The rates on those smart phones are crazy, and considering he's getting a phone without very impressive capabilities, he may as well.

but what if he wants tablet/ipod features in the form of a phone

like why limit yourself when you only gain so little out of doing so

Well, if he's gonna have a smartphone, then he should either go all the way and get himself a real nice one, or just don't and save a bunch of money.
Getting an okay smartphone will just leave him unsatisfied on both fronts.

still, if he wanted to and had the means to go all out, he would.

the phone he's interested in, however, has particular features that he's looking for and is no great expense. If he desired to do little more than talking and texting, then a flip phone would be appropriate, but if he were to settle for that then he would be saving a little money for something with less than what he required.

I would like to use the phone for its capabilities, development, applications, maps, etc. I'll probably be avoiding internet aside from maps. At the same time I would like to use it for calling, probably not texting though because most of my friends have phone plans that don't allow texting. Getting a flip phone would basically be only giving me one pro, getting the Lumia would give me everything I need. That is why I don't want a flip phone. Plus i've had a stuffton of problems with flip phone battery life.
