Commonwealth of Great Britain
Commonwealth Republics of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland
Parliamentary Republic

With the royalists completely demoralized after the Battle of Worcester (modeled irl), the Republican Parliament declares that a monarch cannot rule without Parliament's permission. With a need for leadership, Parliament seeks to elect a single man to do the Parliament's bidding as head of state. Some Parliament members have been arrested when they spoke about reinstating Charles II with limited monarch powers.

The Parliament seeks to reach out to Scotland's republican government in order to expel/pacify the demoralized royalists.

scottish government concedes defeat, on the terms that scotland becomes a republic but the royal family and remaining relatives are safely shipped to prussia
Parliament revokes all of Charles II' government given titles (and therefore his family's) and allows for safe passage to Prussia, on the note that Prussia will jail the royal family if they dare to incite rebellion.

Very well.

Due to time, dedication, and a convenient re-ranking as kingdom, Lubeck and Mecklenburg will now accept vassalization to Prussia.

Tristan, would you formalize my sovereignty over the Netherlands, please?

I am assuming my position as William III, Head of State of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Gelderland and Overijssel.

Allegedly to become the King of England, Scotland, and Ireland in 1689; I am not sure if you want to proceed with granting me dominion over these lands in that year.

Thank you to everyone who persuaded me to do more research into the history of the monarchy in the Netherlands.

Alright, and given Britain doesn't even have a monarch at the moment, it's pretty unlikely that will happen.

Parliament does not accept William III as monarch of the commonwealth.

ok we're done here

I have dominion over my own lands, not yours yet. Do you own the lands I have declared my own? Under which authority?

I am confused because it is almost as if you are saying I can not play as the Netherlands. Perhaps I am misreading this, do you not recognize my estate?

Also, I have done my research, it appears that William the Third is the ruling Stadtholder during this time.

This entire history is very confusing, allow me to go back and find who the hell owns what.

yes bae, our true unionized land of a great britain

Well, um, apparently I am not William III, Head of State of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Gelderland and Overijssel, but William II, Head of State of the United Provinces.

I apologize, guys. The history of the Netherlands during this time is a bit complex.

I am trying... So, so, hard here. Please forgive me.

yes, and its also alternative history, so you can really just uncomplicate things a level or two.

english civil war was complicated so we said forget it and made our own. that magic of rping!

neventii, you're doing fine. i don't even understand netherlands either.

You can do what I do, and just not bring up your monarch whatsoever and have him secretly be a swahili man named Icky richardy Ricky who came from the future when he was sucked in by an anime portal
