Author Topic: Those teachers that grade the test/quiz right after you take them  (Read 1697 times)

Ugh, i can't stand this
I just finished a test that i know i failed and they immediately grade it right after you give it to them, its stressful.  Especially when its one of those teachers who has the "self-grading" policy, you just finish a test and they give it to another student to grade, like what the actual forget...

you just finish a test and they give it to another student to grade

you what

well gee, that's a great idea. it's not like students could do anything to screw each other over, especially if they had a grudge!!!

you what
its a thing some teachers do with grading
for example, lets say the whole class just finished a quiz
the teacher then tells you to give it to a random person or someone next to you while you recieve their quiz
then the teacher says out answers and if you got one wrong, the person would mark you down on your quiz, and you would do the same with their quiz
AKA peer to peer grading

"How about we don't do our loving job and let the students do our work for us harhar har who gives a stuff about their self esteem and grades"

Especially when its one of those teachers who has the "self-grading" policy, you just finish a test and they give it to another student to grade, like what the actual forget...
isnt this illegal because it allows students to see other student's grades and the teacher also isnt doing their job

It's legal in certain states.

It's legal here and I hate it when I get an answer wrong and the teacher goes 'whos paper do you have'

We had peer-marking at my school, but they never asked whose was whose in front of the class.

The point of the exercise was for you to see where other people are making mistakes too, and what you should avoid, as well as their strengths and what you should try.
And to get your work back with a peers marking and get a second opinion on your work besides your teachers.

However, we hardly ever had quizzes, and they were never peer-marked.
We only peer-marked essays, because that actually makes sense.

one thing I don't like is homework

like i have half a day at school and the other half at home and I don't want to spend even one loving minute of my school time at home. like if you're a teacher that gives me homework I automatically hate you and you make me want to spit in your face for even thinking about making me take time away from my precious domestic activities to do your half assed schoolwork

so let me rephrase that

one thing I absolutely despise is homework

American schools are just lazy and the system is beyond broken. In the end all you see is everyone judging each other for their tests. I'm just glad I graduated before anyone else seen my bad tests. There were a few occasions where my test was pointed out with a bad answer (more than once it was actually right but my wording was apparently wrong)

I don't mind teachers who say 'work not done here is homework' but when it comes to giving homework at the end of class that's when it becomes an annoyance. They force you to go to school and pay for your own supplies and if you can't afford your stuff you have to get a job but you can't hold a job because they pound you with so much work that you can't fit in time for work

forget you, I'd love to have teachers to do this. I have to wait minimum of a week to get my score and I can guarantee you that that stuff is much more stressful than getting the score at the moment.

oh yeah leftover schoolwork for homework doesnt bother me since its actual work that you have time to do in class, which i'm a fast worker so i always get it finished before class ends
