Ok so during P.E. we played basketball, and when the ball came to me once, it slammed into my pinkie, dislocating/possible fracturing it, hurt like a forgeter, went to the coach and asked if it looked ok, he replies. "no" and walks to his office and doesnt do a thing to help. So after P.E. it was lunch and i told the principle that i might have dislocated my pinkie, he says "so did mine." and shows me his NORMAL pinkie, so basically no one helped me, not the principle, no teachers, no coaches, no one! I went to the nurse and she game me an ice pack. -_- so after school i went to a hospital and got it checked out, it was dislocated. My school made no attempt to try to help me with a serious injury, only an ice pack. can i sue?

PICS normal pinkie and broken pinkie

what do you think?

personally i wouldve just left after showing my gym class teacher and went to the doctor myself.

those are from 2 different hands op, are you talking out your ass. also the public school systems are kinda starfishs in this kind of situation, im not saying all of them are like this, but just some of them.

no, the unbroken one if from my left hand, the broken is from my right, i was just comparing a good one to a back one

yeah, they're two different hands. he's trying to show his other hand, which has an un-injured pinkie, and his other hand, which has the damaged one. called a comparison

so what's gonna happen with your pinkie

Logically over a dislocated pinky any logical attorney or lawyer will laugh you out of their office, however if it were a more serious injury that was not properly acknowledged and documented by said school, there is a more viable chance.  Per say you get a concussion, easier to sue over if they did the same steps but did not document any reports regarding said injury, and this is only applicable to public school districts in the U.S due to government regulation.  Typically if you are an enrolled student there and are on grounds at any point, you are their legal responsibility for your health/well-being and safety.

TL;DR yes you could sue but your parents would have to sign off with an attorney and deal with that stuff, and you will get ridiculed by said attorney for even trying to pursue legal action over a dislocated pinky

if you really felt it was that severe and drastic you would have actually went out of your way and got it fixed, not ask teachers
