Author Topic: what shoes do you wear?  (Read 3245 times)

I don't think that's what he meant. I think he just means that it would be a waste of his money if he spent it on expensive shoes just to "be cool".
except there's plenty of people who buy expensive shoes and just stick with that line because that's what works for them (i.e. me, a lot of my classmates who buy expensive workboots out of necessity, etc)

I only like wearing Nike black shoes with a white base and a white tick

Imagine generic vans. Now imagine them in red, grey, or black with the white strips at the bottom very dirty and worn out.

I can spend $100 on a great pair of shoes that will last me several years or $25 on stuffty uncomfortable shoes that blow out in 6 months. If you do any sort of sport, outdoor hiking, or physical labor you will know who valuable a good pair of shoes and boots are. I had a $200 pair of boots last me 4 years of abusive work. People content with crap shoes are flagged for sitting on the computer all day.

I'm not into shoe fashion but I like having a variety of shoes for different situations and weather.

I shared this pic in the last shoe thread.

I got these two pair at Van's Off the Wall for $60 total

forget yeah ducks

i dig them vans with the birds

going clockwise:
 - work boot/shoe things
 - winter boots
 - some american eagle craps that are starting to fall apart. work pretty good for skating
 - feiyues - going to bleach the sweat out of them and put new laces on
 - old, crusty, torn-up vans that i don't wear anymore
 - my newest & favorite pair of shoes, some maroon vans
 - mid-top adidas. I've owned them since july of 2014 but I've only worn them maybe 15 times, skated with them once lol
 - under-performing stuff asics that barely lasted one season of track practice

Not shown:
 - super-comfortable ultra-ventilated mega-light invincible KO's that I gladly used in place of the asics during a track meet if I couldn't find spikes to borrow
 - all-black vans in good condition
 - nike free run 1.0s that weren't good for freerunning. they hardly fit now, but I keep them in my trunk just in case I need spare shoes
 - a pair of all-black dress shoes that I don't really know anything about since I rarely wear them and I can't find them

i still haven't bleached those feiyues

also i'm size 10.5 US

I just wear some slip on Skechers they are comfortable and easy

I'm barefoot almost 90% of the time so I don't actually know

Thanks, they had a slightly higher top version in all leather that I liked but the two stores I visited were out of stock at the time. Also I wear a size 13 US which which usually has a pretty restricted inventory.

There the ones i just got for £95
i got mine on sale for $73

my 20$ poor child shoes have lasted me 3 years and are held together by wood glue so I guess I just don't understand
what I do understand is that I have no loving money
