Author Topic: Problems of the 1% of the 1%: Luxury Shotgun Sales  (Read 1657 times)

One of the projects I'm on at work is an aggregator website for firearms sales. Not just any old firearms though, we're talking luxury shotguns used for sport shooting and small game hunting.

Our client has over $1,000,000 to drop on this website he plans to keep for personal use and to share among his wealthy friends. No plans to monetize this at all. He is an international man of mystery with a circle of friends with similarly dubious origins, and we also have on the team a very talented ex-Soviet spy and defector to the United States.

A normal person may find discomfort with this project and the associated clients, but fortunately for me this is one of the tamer things I have been involved in.

you must tell us these other things

it just seems really strange.
This is exactly why I decided to share it though.

What makes this luxury double barreled shotgun any better than any regular double barreled shotgun?

What makes this luxury double barreled shotgun any better than any regular double barreled shotgun?
the illusion that its better because they paid more for it

On top of the high quality machining these guns also have a lot of custom and handmade engraving and woodwork done. It's mostly aesthetics and a market catering to people with way too much money to spend lol.

The one I posted in the OP is just an example I thought was funny with the, "great value," description at nearly $10,000. Many of the guns cost over $50,000.

Why are you crawling and extratig data from it?

One of the projects I'm on at work is an aggregator website for firearms sales.

He wants a one stop location to browse the inventory of several hundred sites.

People interested in the rarity/uniqueness of them.
