Of course not, but a big part of why the 2004 earthquake was so destructive was due to lack of detection and warning systems. India got hit very hard by the tsunami even hours after it happened and suffered a lot of damages because of dense populations on the East Indian coast. It's just an example to say that tsunamis can be very destructive.
An Arconian writer by the name of Samuel Öedergaant returns from New Romekate after nearly 24 years of traveling with the poor, and settling with them, pitching up tents with them, eating with them. He also settles in with the upper class, the nobility, the poets, and the scholars. He recounts his travels in three large volumes. The first is of the geography of the land, and how its geography impacts its culture, its food, language, and politics. The second is a comprehensive history of the Romekati people from ancient times up until modern. The third is about folklore of the Romekati, their heritage and thousands and thousands of years' tradition of storytelling, which in their unique landscape, makes their people unique. He finds that above all arts, the art of poetry is the most revered. The last work, although he recorded as much as he could, includes most of the stories themselves.
The volumes' names are The Landscapes of the Romekate, History of the Romekate, and Romekati Folklore. The three works are published in Auregge in French, Flemish, and High Romekati and its dialects.
The book becomes immensely popular to scholars, particularly historians in Arcon and to the Romekati themselves.
