Author Topic: This generation and politics  (Read 3947 times)

Whether our votes count or not does not mean that we shouldn't exercise our ability to vote.

Also, it has been a trend in every passing generation that the young-adults are "Never going to vote!!  Politics are DUMB".  It's a phase.. It will pass, and then we will be worried about the next generation.

Elaborate
The minority vote in states that strongly support a particular party are completely pointless

my mentality is not voting because I don't loving know what's going on
I'd rather not vote over voting blindly based on party or having to pick the lesser of the two evils
at least when it comes to presidents

I wish we had the opportunity to hire a leader not a politician
well donald Annoying Orange is a lunatic not a politician so idk

If people who take Social Justice courses and such vote...... forget me

Election rigging is legal. Look at how ridiculous electoral districts are. Called gerrymandering

I've had a pretty bad hatred for this place for about a year or two now. It hasn't really gone away entirely just yet, but just enough for me to continue to ramble on with my odd sense of objectivity. Just like in the past, I guess.

I don't vote because of this.

I don't vote because of this.
Right, because that solves the issue entirely. Thanks. 👍

Wow, you're sure showing them, Tony!

I am really worried about this generation and politics, i say this because we had voters registration last week and like 3/4 of the entire student population refused to register.  Okay i get that politics is scary and you're only in high school but COME ON.

Our votes don't matter, it all depends on the electoral college votes and they are not legally required to vote for what their state wants. Some states don't even get electoral votes. A potential present could run a campaign and only focus on the states with the most electoral votes because states with fewer electoral votes don't matter.

There is also election rigging which is legal.

It doesn't matter who we vote for, either person is bad.

Independent candidates never win. It's always republican or democrat despite many founding fathers who were independent. It doesn't loving matter.

The millions of dollars spent on presidential campaigns could have gone to better causes.

I'm glad for this because apparently they want Sanders and I see him ruining this country economically

This is a prime example of what is happening right now.  The elections are rushed, the debates start late as hell, and its a huge mess.  The only reason why everyone knows about Annoying Orange os because he is a loving meme.  Not that memes are bad, they make the world go around.  Annoying Orange isnt an actual politician.

You mean, with the concepts and standards running pretty much every other major country on the planet? Not to mention the math done on the different policies and plans he's put out shows a net decrease in individual spending towards healthcare? Alright, sure. 👍
