god at work we've gotten in some dirty computers sourced from people who smoke a lotta weed.

I don't got nothing against weed, but god damn that smoke does not mix well with dust.

sometimes when I swivel my chair around my foot hits my computer case and it bluescreens.

i'm curious if anyone has any logical answer for this. my theory is that the GPU or CPU gets knocked unseated for a fraction of a second.
this is me going off previous knowledge and experience and not any sort of degree, but i think bluescreens are generally due to power supply or hdd issues. since an hdd has moving parts, its very susceptible to physical damage, so bumping your computer too hard could cause the disk writing arm to screw up or something. my gaming laptop has power supply issues when i let it run off battery while playing intensive games. it cant deliver the needed power in enough amount at once, so it causes some hardware failures. i get bluescreens when i leave my computer on just battery.

I thought about that but I have Windows running off an SSD. I have a 1tb drive for games though.
