Author Topic: /ret command: Return to your player from admin orb  (Read 1441 times)

/title, just use the admin orb and then /ret to return to your player.
No idea if this is widely known or not, so I posted this so more people would know about it. I was just checking out different functions here and came across it.

pressing f7 which is the button you press to initially go into orb mode, when pressed again when you are orbed away from your player, will return the camera back

I just always used F8 to warp the camera back to my player and F7 to regain control, or i would bring up the admin menu, spy myself and regain control from there

This command should have a default keybind to go hand-in-hand with F7 and F8, like... F3 F6

or maybe alt f4 amirite

also if you type "/sad panda" three times you get admin on any server

and it gives you a cool client-sided skin of a panda

umm..no..... it kicka you from thw server!!

Press f8 then f7 again is probably milliseconds faster than this unfortunately. But its good practice for you to keep making addons.

cool thing about /ret that isn't mentioned is that when you return to your player your orb doesn't disappear
so you can place a magic orb anywhere you like with this command

or maybe alt f4 amirite
Every time I told people in CS:GO that Source engine disabled AltF4 they never believed me. :c
I wish there was still AltF4 so I could rage quit, but nop

Try binding a key to 'quit'

Unfortunately Source Engine is really bad with keybinds anyway. I had a key bound to disconnect and it only works when you're completely ingame. You can't use it when loading or in a menu of any sort.

If I want to cancel out of orb mode I usually spy myself and then click.

I always just did F8 then F7 to return to my player. Sounds like this leaves the orb effect behind, could get cluttered.
I like the way you think though.
