Author Topic: Should "handicapped" (the r word) be removed from the dictionary?  (Read 3861 times)

hello,this is my forum post.

Should we remove handicapped from the dictionary?

I have heard countless stories of people trying to remove it and i think they are dumb honestly.  It is a word in the english language, why would you try to get rid of it?  I understand that it is an offensive word to those who are handicapped but COME ON.  I don't use the R word because of a personal matter but tell me what you think.

/discuss

Let me just state one thing and i will put this in the OP i do NOT condone the elimination of the word handicapped, I just wanted to see what you guys thought about this bs

SJW's should be removed from the earth

EDIT: I mean, who the forget thought this would be a good idea? Most offensive slang isn't even in the dictionary. People would continue using it, it just wouldn't have a legitimate meaning.

handicap used to be the politically correct thing to classify mentally unstable people and then it turned into something else
it also still means to slow down and can be used as such if you wish

That is a handicapped idea

what are you, handicapped?

Only if friend and bitch are also removed.

lmao like removing it from the dictionary would do anything

Well, it's not just an offense, it is also a word used to describe mentally challenged/limited/whatever people. Just because it can be used as an insult does not mean it must not be a word at all.

if anything it gives everyone more leverage to say handicap so when a sjw gets pissed that you called them a handicap you can say "quit complaining it's not even  a word"

It's almost as if people don't actually know what a dictionary is

what the forget
