Author Topic: How do you people with laptops even BUILD?!  (Read 6388 times)

Going from a desktop to a laptop temporarily, HOW THE forget DO YOU PEOPLE BUILD?!

It's annoying as forget to hit the NumLock key and have 789, UIOP, JKL:, and M changed to what would be a numpad.

Who uses a laptop to play Blockland normally and what do you do?

i use the numberpad that is on my laptop :D

I've got a numpad-less laptop (for now), so I simply use the two-button laptop config. Works perfectly fine for me.

I use the laptop building keys and I have a numpad. IJKL master race

High five!

the first laptop I had didn't have a numpad and I actually got used to it pretty quickly after I memorized what each letter did
but since then I've had laptops with numpads and it is miles easier to get used to imo, idk if I could go back without being super confused again

I don't think I've ever used a laptop that didn't have a numpad.

Most of mine haven't had one. Some of the older ones did. But most these days have a numpad that you access via the Function keys/Num Lock.

I spent so long using a laptop that I now prefer that system and even use it on standard keyboards with a numpad.
Although currently I am back to using a laptop, without a numpad, so I have to use laptop keybinds whether I like it or not.

I was actually very well acquainted to the default laptop (no numpad) keybindings for quite a long while. It isn't terribly difficult to use, it's just more cramped and slightly less obvious.

I've binded my building keys to not use numpad. My arrows are my super shift, and ijkl are my shift keys.

you could change the settings. so that you don't have to enable numlock. there's even a preset for it lol

With difficulties. My arrow keys are forward backwards left right, alt up and alt down is 1/3 up down, alt left/right is rotate, L is super shift and I'm running a client-side script that makes it so super shift is triggered with 1/3 up/down.

I've always used a laptop all these years I've played blockland and other games and my laptop is very bad. If I build I use the numpad on my laptop.

If I had to use a laptop keyboard to build, I'd probably do some vi-style hjkl bullstuff controls.
