Should I do this to my iPad right now?

It took me a thousand scrolls to get that far back and nothing even happened, my iPad just restarted normally.

Should I do this to my iPad right now?
If you want to risk going into your iPad's components to fix after doing it.

But if you do it
record it
and link us the video

Was it on January 1st, 1970? Are you sure it's 64 bit?

yes and yes. I assume it's 64 because it's the latest generation iPad.

I'm sure they would release an update converting it to 64 bit time before 2038.

All I'm worried about are old computer systems and maybe even game consoles that can't be updated.

...then again, the old systems aren't as dependent on exact time measurements and would probably just roll back to 1970.

its not like "put your phone in a fire" or some bullstuff, this is actually believable, i don't see how you think people that try this are dumb
So it isn't really a problem.
Those without a phone aren't affected, those with a phone but smart enough aren't affected, only those with a phone that are dumb are affected and left without a phone, leading back to situation 1.
really? it's not like it's telling you to microwave your phone or drop it in water. most people probably wouldn't see anything suspicious about it at all. that date has little meaning to the general population
yes, but it's common sense that setting your phones date all the way back to 1970 will forget something up most of the time. maybe what I said was too harsh or something, sorry.

Some people use computers and phones at such an excessive amount of time that things that seem obvious to them might not be so obvious to normal users.

yes, but it's common sense that setting your phones date all the way back to 1970 will forget something up most of the time.
uh... don't think so. most people have absolutely no reason to think that. it's just another date to them

Does that mean iPad 4th Gen or iPad Air 2?

yes, but it's common sense that setting your phones date all the way back to 1970 will forget something up most of the time.
????????????

no?????

Does that mean iPad 4th Gen or iPad Air 2?
yeah ipad air 2 is the latest one

uh... don't think so. most people have absolutely no reason to think that. it's just another date to them
????????????

no?????
ok maybe it's just me but i wouldn't just set my stuff to an older date without knowing what would happen, especially if i didn't know about phones at all. i really don't get how this is so baffling
