Author Topic: Watch out for an iOS glitch that will "permanently" brick your device  (Read 4298 times)

Again, you have no idea what you are talking about. Dell reaches out to other manufacturers to make their parts, they assemble the computers with the parts procured and sell said computers.

I was trying to edit my post not quote it, sorry.

Their phones are also incredibly over priced. They release a new phone that has 1 or 2 added on features (which could be added onto their old phones through updates) and people wait in line to spend 500-800 dollars. I don't get it.
every other company does this. I don't see you complaining about high-end android phones?

I just tried it on my iPad and it worked? I don't understand what you people are complaining about.
yes, but it's common sense that setting your phones date all the way back to 1970 will forget something up most of the time. maybe what I said was too harsh or something, sorry.
The most it would do for a normal computer or Android phone would not allow you to browse the internet or download anything and that's because it has something to do with verification iirc.

New apple phones focus more on the operating system and less on the hardware which makes the new phone's price questionable.

Since android OS is being developed by android only. Other high-end android phones can spend more time/money upgrading their hardware instead.

or, lets just consider this:

the phones are made by independent companies that dont make the operating system and they can do whatever the forget they want with the hardware

just a thought

where are you getting this idea?

here's a list of the hardware changes from the 6 to the 6S:
taptic engine (makes the vibrations in a different way)
A9 processor, up from an A8
supposedly 2GB memory, up from 1
improved fingerprint sensor
12megapixel camera up from 8
4K video recording
240fps recording
the front camera is far improved, 5 megapixels, up from 1.5
and now available with 128GB of storage space, instead of only 64GB

if you wanna tell us how they could've upgraded the processor through software, that would be great

can you all just ignore Tony pls

Those minor upgrades doesn't sound like something I would invest 800+ dollars in. I wouldn't throw away my previous iphone to run and buy the new one.

this is bait

This is a joke, Night Fox can't ignore an argument.

Say for example I bought an iphone for 600 dollars then the next model comes out at 800 dollars with minor hardware upgrades why would I get rid of my perfectly good 600 dollar phone for the new one? If I'm going to shell out like 800 dollars right away the hardware better be 3x better than the previous one.

I agree with this, you're basically buying your phone again + $200 for a phone that you probably won't notice the difference on

Also it plays 4K at 30fps.
yeah, Android plays 4k 30 as well. I don't think any high end phone can do 4k 60 ATM.
Apple does Software upgrade 1 year and hardware next, while Android does Software upgrade from Google and top end hardware from an OEM.
just pointing that out for everyone to know.
The camera upgrades seem essential for you Tony becayse cmon who wouldn't want to look at your beautiful face 😘

I assume the whole upgrades year goes for people on two year contracts, want new hardware first? go for a s model and if you want new software first go for the non s
I mean recently it kinda fell apart with 9 but 9 is stuff

Since android OS is being developed by android only.
1. Android is open source. A lot (probably most) manufacturers building on Android make their own proprietary changes.
2. The original developer is Google, not "Android"

If they are 64 bit time wont stop untill about three hunderd billion years.
Just because the CPU is 64 bit doesn't mean all data processed by it is 64 bit

The difference is if you want an iOS phone, you only have one manufacturer to choose from: Apple.
But if you want an Android phone, you have many. That fact by itself causes a price difference via competition.
And then even within each Android manufacturer, there's several options in different price ranges, whereas iOS it's just "the new iPhone"
