Author Topic: 1st person or 3rd person?  (Read 3314 times)

which do you prefer, and which is better?

in some DM servers, i find myself constantly switching back and forth, and im kinda tired of it.

in 1st person, it improves my aim with the cross hair, but i still suck as much as i do in 3rd person.

in 3rd person, I'm a little more accurate and i can see more of the action and my surroundings, but sometimes it's hard to tell where I'm aiming and makes my aiming a little off.

also, is there a script or something that makes a cross hair appear in 3rd person?

I use both for different reasons, while i'm building I find it useful to build using 1 person mode, because I got the little "o". If I were to go through a maze or flying in an airplane, I would use 3rd person. The game just wouldn't be the same without the switch between 1-3 person.

lol. well, to be honest, i like 3rd person more, thanks for helping me decide.

I don't know how you could play a DM without being in first person. There's a good reason people call it a first person shooter. You just need practice.

There are third person shooters too, you know.

But game mechanics are entirely different in third person shooters. There, you usually have som kind off crosshair or auto aiming functionality, and everybody else plays with the same limitations.

But some people dont need a dot on screen to aim properly :P

And in close range you can see people behind you.
