Author Topic: WHAT?! PHONE COMPANY BILL ARRIVED!  (Read 2047 times)

is movistar the only thing they have in latin america? even when I was in a rural town when I was in peru there were ads plastered everywhere for movistar (and the APRA)
Depends on the country. We have AT&T, Movistar, Personal, and Claro. AT&T is probably going to close any time soon, Personal is only good in the city and Claro has a wide range of signal but a really stuffty service when it comes to data. Movistar is pretty good with its signal range and it's basically like Tmobile. Data anywhere and everywhere but calling is somewhat a pain if you're in the middle of nowhere.

I only saw Calro and Movistar when I was in South America, never saw AT&T

I specifically remember Claro have a super annoying ringtone and that some people wouldnt answer their phone for a bit just because they thought it was catchy :v

i use project fi, unlimited text/call for $20 + $0.01 per mb of data used (aka $10 per gb)

Yeah but is it available in Argentina?

if you're asking me, no, nexus 6p

Yeah but is it available in Argentina?
idk probably-- google's partner carriers there are claro and movistar

I left sprint a couple years ago because they were stealing my money. They were slapping these bullstuff charges that make no sense on my bill then had no explanation for them when I called. They ended up compensating me $6,000 after I switched to Verizon so I wouldn't take legal action.

Evidently emojis and pictures don't counter under the unlimited text plan for me (I use at&t)

What the forget? Do you remember any of the charges like specifically? I still have sprint and this is kind of a terrifying concept lol

One of them was called "Technical usage surcharge" which two representatives and a manager had obviously never heard of before. They decided to bullstuff me and say it was a $125 service fee(which are normally like $20-$50 depending on your service and phone).

Do you have an iphone?
Yes and so does the rest of my family members and they all pay around $400. Some more, some less.

pictures makes sense, but emojis are just text, so that seems unreasonable. are you completely sure about that?

I think most of it is from when you started to text me last year this was a bad joke

No, that was $200. International texts are very inexpensive.

I use a straightalk LG phone. $45 for a phone card. Unlimited data, texting, and calling for a month.
I literally don't understand why straight talk isn't dominating

$45 a month and I bought my unlocked Moto G for $220. I haven't had a single problem with them
